Describe your job story:
I was a warehouse worker at a milk jug factory working 7am-3pm manual labor, Monday through Friday.  I had a resume' on Monster.com profiling my computer skills acquired while in college.  One day I got an inquiry from a company called Scientific Games International, which at the time held the contract for my state lottery equipment.  They called me and set up an interview.  I traveled to their office and blew them away during the interview then they called me the next week and offered me a job.  Since 2005 I have been programming, installing, and doing maintenance on lottery terminals and the satellite equipment used for them to communicate.  Some days I may be on someone’s roof with a hard had on, other days I will be in business casual attire doing consulting for a site preparing to sell lottery for the first time.

What did you want to be when you were a child/ teenager?
I wanted to be a cartoonist or graphic designer

Are doing your dream job?
Not yet. My dream job is to run my computer shop full time

What do you like MOST about what you do? What do you like the LEAST?
What I like MOST about what I do is that I get to see the results of my work in action and I don't work in the office.  What I like the LEAST is that I am always at the mercy of clients.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Married with children and running my computer repair business full time!

Are you happy with where you are in life?
Somewhat, I wish my career was further along than what it is but I didn't realize what I wanted to do until I was in college majoring in something that I absolutely hated.
What more do you want to do with your life? I want to become a good husband, father, household leader, and savvy business owner.

What drives/motivates you?
Happiness... If I am not happy, I am not successful.

What else do you do?
I have an after hours mobile computer repair business.  I travel around the city to fix computers and do house calls. I also have contracts with a few local businesses

What is your advice to those who are seeking employment and have no hope?

Don't be afraid to put a resume' online and apply for jobs online! A lot of businesses post their openings online!
