 Tuesday Restaurant Inc.

Describe your job story:
As an assistant manager, I wear many hats. I must learn every position in the building. Reason being, ultimately I am the "go to guy" when the team can't solve or are in restaurant term "balls to the wall" managers bail them out. I play counselor, mom, dad, pastor, financial advisor and other various roles. Lastly I manage them. I don't force myself on them. If they need me to play the above roles, they usually come to me. I'll listen and try to help them so that they can function on the floor. Managing a team is more than just managing a team. Well at least in my work place it is.

What did you want to be when you were a child/ teenager?
When I was a child I wanted to fly planes. As a teen, I wanted to be an ESPN commentator/anchor

Are doing your dream job? I am not. However what I am doing came easy to me. Not sure if it's my last stop but for now I am not struggling.

What do you like MOST about what you do? What do you like the LEAST?
I love that I deal with people and wear many hats. I dislike being in one store all the time, being open on holidays and my hours. I like positions with a little more freedom

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Hopefully a published author, who will eventually teach Creative Writing and Public Speaking to college students (2 year colleges)

Are you happy with where you are in life?
I'm happy with my life, however I am always looking to get better and to sharpen the skills I have. This includes creating.

What more do you want to do with your life? Teach and create

What drives/motivates you? Freedom

What else do you do?
I write, I paint, I read a lot, I can also edit (currently sharpening my editorial skills) I'd like to get into event planning, textile design or interior decorating. Not an expert but with time I'm sure I can do a pretty good job.

What is your advice to those who are seeking employment and have no hope?
Lost hope? Find a way to find it. Or work at something until you find your niche. If you know there's something you enjoy...research how to turn that into income. Find the hope in something. It will always, always be hard to find employment. However, don't let how hard it is defeat you.
